On the date of August 18th 2011, I had the privilege of attending one of the most extraordinary job conventions on this side of the Atlantic. An event consisting of 100 employers ready to hire on the spot was held in Atlanta, Georgia at Atlanta Technical College. Long lines that extended all the way around the school seemed endless as people of all backgrounds stood awaiting to get inside and have a chance to get hired by the many companies stemming from private employers such as Coca-Cola, Sprint, Comcast, Google, NCR, Microsoft and a host of many others that were there and open to the public.
Many of those who attended had to registered on-line prior to the affair. I was fortunate enough to get inside with the Radio One sponsors of the event.

It's probably the one place that many African Americans consider to have a fair share at getting started in the field of creating business or becoming part of a business setting, being that the unemployment rate is so very high in this country. Entrepreneurship efforts has made its mark amongst many of the natives of this wonderful city here in Atlanta on this given day.
I, myself being from New Jersey was overwhelmed to see just how many people came out to attend this event. There were employers that extended from from small business like,"Green Grease"no relation to go green but i did ask the question to clarify any affiliation
. www.greengrease.info This small company actually hire's people to telephone residency's and convince them to store cooking grease use toward fried foods into a bucket (provided by Green-grease co.) and the company will send its van by the clients home to preserve this grease and convert it into diesel gas to operate trucks.
